Theres a storm cloud overhead You better run or you will be dead Theres a sea, but you don’t know What is hiding down there below you try to scream you try to cry but you sit there and wait, its you time lightning in the clouds spiders in your skin bodies on the ground waiting for the end to begin fire on the sea that’s not a place I wanna be water in the sky it is now your time to die ‘ Prying eyes watching you Controlling everything that you do Chains are clashing in the night No sense of what is wrong and what is right What a time to be alive Just a worker in this human bee hive lightning in the clouds spiders in your skin bodies on the ground waiting for the end to begin fire on the sea that’s not where I wanna be water in the sky take my hand or you will die fire on the sea that’s not where I wanna be water in the sky take my hand or you will die

about

“Buried at Sea” is an EP of songs recorded and written in 2017 and early 2018. I have deliberated putting these songs out for various reasons, but the main one being; I didn't know if the songs still represented me. There were many days where I would listen to them and hate them and others where I would love them. But I realised that the longer I wait to release them, the less I connect with them, and the less they represent me as a musician. They became this black cloud hanging over my head, haunting me. The time in my song writing and musical life they represent has passed, however, in order for me to release new music, I feel I first need to release my older music. This music shows where I have come from, and will hopefully pave the way for where I will go. I would also like to say a special thank you to my good friend Nick Suosaari, for the cover art. Please enjoy this music as much or as little as you like, and join me in finally say goodbye to that chapter of my musical life.
- Brendan.
